Busy day today! Just some inspirational photos I found on my tumblr... hopefully I'm going to get an outfit post in because I hate not doing them! I got a ton of new stuff today in North Hampton so I'll try and get one or two in!

style part 2
Continuation of last night's style rant with a slight change in topic. How I view other people's styles. Several times a week people ask me why I never dress comfy. Or how come I never wear sweatpants and uggs when they are so much comfier than tight jeans and heel-blistering boots. Like Michelle from Glisters and Blisters says, "There's always some sort of pain, whether it’s mentally or physically, if you want to look beautiful. Take shoes for example. You'll look superb when you wear Louboutins, but you have to pay the pain when you walk in them. You can look cute in flats, but you won't get the tall and lean effect." So there's my little description on why I insist on dressing nicer than most people would on a Monday morning. But that's not what this post is about.
Another question I get frequently asked is "so do you hate it when other people are wearing sweatpants and uggs and stuff like that?" My answer: No. I don't judge the way other people dress. It's their decision, not mine. I'm not one of those people that will walk down the hallway and then tweet about every ugly look I see. I have my pet peeves, as does everyone else, but I always keep them to myself in fear of hurting someones feelings. Yes, it does bother me when stylish people I know are spotted wearing a baggy sweatshirt, sweatpants and uggs because I know them personally and I know they can dress better, but I try and keep it to myself.

My newest obsession. Sadly, there is no way I could pull this off at my age, but I loooooove them. They're versatile, sophisticated and oh so chic! I really hope that by the time I can wear these they'll still be in style!

One question Teen Vogue asked me for Best Dressed Reader was how I view my personal style. And as I sat there, contemplating my response, it really got me thinking. What is my style? Although this was not included in the official interview, here was my response:
"It changes all the time. I'm still so young, so I'm still experimenting with different styles. I spent a lot of time of street style websites and fashion blogs, looking at what other people wear, and then I see what I like and go out and try it."
Now it's difficult to elaborate on that, since that basically sums up my feelings completely. I don't have a style. I suppose if I wear the pick, I would say my style is sort of girly-sophisticated-chic-yet-comfy-flirty-rocker. Haha, not very specific. But the point is, I'm always changing my mind. One day, I'll be donning (thank you, anonymous commenter!) a plain black skirt with bold printed tights and a bright top. The next day, I'll be wearing dark skinny jeans and a pretty lace shirt. And then the day after that I'll be lusting after a baggy t-shirt tucked into high-waisted denim shorts with tights. I think being surrounded by so many different types of people with different personalities and styles is so influential to me. I probably spend more time on tumblr than facebook nowadays... and I re-blog photos from all over the world, and all different types of clothes.
I'm going to continue this rant tomorrow, since I'm literally falling asleep on my computer. Goodnight! xx

circle of life
What do you think about the circle scarf? I, for one, am in love! I bought a knit one at Nordstroms a few months ago and wear it all the time! It's the coziest thing ever. Have any of you been donning them this winter? I saw one person wearing a smaller and thinner scarf as a head wrap...can't decide if I like it or not...xx

Hi guys! So obviously I broke my daily post rule...badly. I've been stuck in the Berkshires with my cousins for the weekend, and just got home! I'm gonna catch up, don't worry! Expect five or six (hopefully) posts within the next two days! I'm gonna try to get a ton of outfit photos in...but I'm going back out to the Berkshires tomorrow, so we'll see what happens. I'm so sorry to keep you all waiting! xxo

yes/no?
So I usually give advice, not ask for it, but I want your opinion! I was playing dress up and taking outfit photos for future posts as well as tonight's post for those days when I don't have time to pose in front of a camera. When putting this ensemble together, I stood in front of the mirror for a good ten minutes contemplating shooting it or not. I couldn't decide if I liked how to bagginess of the sweater bunched up in the waist of the skirt or not. What do you think?

printed nails: part deux
So a few days ago I did a post about my growing obsession with printed nails. Well, I'm probably one of the most non-artistic people in the world, so I gave up all hope of learning how to paint my own nails many years ago :P Hopefully I'll be able to learn very soon, but for now, I simply used Sally Hanses's Salon Effects in Laced Up to create my faux-lace nails.
